Drag Finisher - Spindle Type
The Spindle Finisher has been in production for over forty-years and has proven to be a workhorse within the industry. In recent years, several manufacturers have introduced their version of this machine, some with modern enhancements. All of these machines hold the part via a spindle and introduce it to the spinning process media. These machines are known in the industry by several names;
- Reverse Drag Finisher
- Stream Finisher
- Surf Finisher
- Wave Finisher
In all of these machines, parts are fixtured onto a spindle that has varying degrees of articulation, as well as providing for rotation of the part. Generally, these machines include two or three spindles and several sizes of process media chambers. Sometimes the spindles are replaced with robotic arms.
